Chief Minister Fadnavis at Corporation Control Room

Mumbai:  Hours after parts of Mumbai were stranded in thigh-high water, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reached the Control Room of the city’s Municipal Corporation to oversee emergency preparations.

All flights to and from Mumbai are delayed; local trains have been stopped in parts of the city; schools have been closed.

Commuters have been advised to avoid sea-facing roads. High tide is expected at 2 pm.  Heavy rain is forecast for the next 24 hours.
