Mahendra Singh Dhoni is making the headlines for the wrong reasons, once again.
After his ‘alleged’ shove on Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman, a report on Hindustan Times claimed that the Indian ODI captain was being probed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for an alleged conflict of interest issue arising due to his association with Rhiti Sports Management Private Limited. It was reported that BCCI was setting up a committee to probe into the matter of conflict of interest and into Dhoni specifically. (Dhoni Fined For Colliding with Mustafizur Rahman)
However, BCCI was quick to react and issued a press release clarifying their stand. In the release, BCCI president, Jagmohan Dalmiya said that he has been misquoted by the press.

“It appears I have been misquoted as far as Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is concerned”, said the BCCI president.
Dalmiya clarified that he is looking to implement the decision taken by the Working Committee back in 2013 – that all players would have to submit declarations on their involvement/interest in sports management companies, if any. (Mustafizur Knocked Out by MS Dhoni)
In 2013, the Indian captain’s association with Rhiti Sports came under much speculation. It came to light that Dhoni owned 15% stakes in his friend, Arun Pandey’s company which manages the commercial interests of Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and and handles the marketing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings, led by Dhoni.
Rhiti Sports however, released a statement saying that the Indian skipper no longer held any shares in the company and had insisted that Dhoni held the shares of the company for a brief period ‘to secure certain old outstandings’.
