The court has also directed all institutions concerned to extend cooperation in conducting a re-examination for admission of students in undergraduate medical courses.
The order came on a clutch of petitions seeking a re-examination, contending that the integrity of the test had been compromised. The court also rejected CBSE’s contention that cancelling the test would delay the admission process.
The Central Board of Secondary Education, which conducts the exam, has denied there was any leak. It has also opposed holding the exam afresh, saying it will take three or four months to go through the whole process.
The results of the exam were to be declared on June 5. But a group of students moved court seeking cancellation of the exam following news of the paper leak.
Around 6.3 lakh students sat for the exam, of whom 3,722 will get admission to medical institutes across India.
