Now, Snapdeal Takes a Potshot at Flipkart Ads
India’s second largest e-tailer Snapdeal took on its bigger rival Flipkart as the two e-commerce companies waged an advertising battle.
Last week, Flipkart had launched an ad campaign across different platforms. Flipkart’s “Nahin Khareeda? #AchhaKiya” campaign was designed to create a buzz and curiosity about its ‘BigAppShoppingDays’ sale, which it launched on Monday.

Snapdeal later launched an advertising campaign saying ‘Achha kiya bata diya. #YahanSeKharido”. What’s more interesting, Snapdeal went a step ahead and managed to position some of its billboards just beside Flipkart’s.
Internet and social media went abuzz after Snapdeal’s move. Netizens tweeted photos of various locations, where two advertising campaigns where seen side by side.

Snapdeal didn’t stop at this. It trolled Flipkart’s #AchhaKiya” with #YahanSeKharido on social media too.
This is not the first time when rival e-tailers have targeted each other. Last month, Flipkart’s co-founder Sachin Bansal had taken a jab at Snapdeal, saying India should not be blamed for the latter’s failure to hire “great engineers”.
Sachin Bansal’s comment came after Wall Street Journal reported that Snapdeal has decided to look abroad for programmers in the companies that have been doing what e-tailer is trying to do.
