“Just spoke to Sushma Swaraj ji & congratulated her for the excellent speech at the UN. A perfect articulation of key global issues,” PM Modi tweeted today morning following Ms Swaraj’s late night speech yesterday.
Ms Swaraj in a response to Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the UN said that Pakistan must give up terror before peace talks with India can take place. She also spoke about other key challenges including India’s initiative on climate change and urgent need for UN Security Council reforms.
“Sushma Swaraj has wonderfully highlighted India’s contribution to UN & shared India’s vision of what UN must be in the 21st century. In her speech, Sushma Swaraj has rightly emphasised on the need to end all forms of terror & make the world a peaceful place to live in… Fully agree with you Sushma Swaraj ji,” PM Modi said.
Empowering the girl child is vital to bring about a change in society, the Prime Minister also said in a series of tweets.
